Radiesse Certified Hand Injectors

We at MDLSV are proud to announce that each of our doctors is now an official Radiesse certified hand injector. Radiesse was recently FDA approved for use in the hands after clinical trials showed that it was safe and effective for volume restoration in hands with thinning skin and wrinkles. If this describes your hands, you may be a good candidate for Radiesse hand volumization!

Why Choose Radiesse for the Hands?

Our doctors have years of experience injecting Radiesse as well as other fillers and neuromodulators. Hand rejuvenation has become a popular procedure recently, as many people are realizing that the hands are one of the biggest “tell zones” for giving away a person’s true age. Hands can be difficult to keep protected from the sun, and they show age very quickly. Radiesse can help to volumize and plump thinning skin, which serves a dual purpose of reducing the appearance of wrinkles and hiding prominent veins.

Radiesse works by using calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres to both provide instant volume and stimulate the body to produce more natural collagen. Collagen is vital for skin volume and elasticity, but as we age the body produces less and less of it. Radiesse helps the skin to produce more collagen on its own, providing natural results that improve over time and last for a year or more.

The Radiesse Procedure

Radiesse injections involve no downtime, and you can return to your daily activities immediately following the procedure. Radiesse is mixed with lidocaine, which is a numbing agent, in order to reduce the amount of discomfort from the injection. If you are worried about pain or discomfort, a topical numbing agent can also be applied beforehand.

The side effects of Radiesse can include swelling, bruising, or redness at the injection site. These side effects generally last anywhere from one to seven days before subsiding and can be managed effectively with over-the-counter medication and ice packs.

Radiesse, Fraxel, and IPL for Total Hand Rejuvenation

In addition to thinning skin and wrinkles, many people have brown spots on their hands as a result of sun exposure. IPL, or intense pulsed light, is a laser treatment that helps to reduce the appearance of sunspots on the face, chest, and hands. IPL is a popular and safe procedure with proven results and can be used effectively together with Radiesse and Fraxel for a comprehensive treatment that turns back time on the hands.
