What Is Lutronic LaseMD

Maryland Dermatology Laser Skin & Vein now offers LaseMD treatments. LaseMD is a non-ablative 1927nm fractional thulium laser that provides a customizable experience for patients in the greater Baltimore area. Treatments rebuild healthy skin, rejuvenate pigmented skin, and resurface fine lines and wrinkles. LaseMD is also FDA approved to remove actinic keratosis, or AK, which is a pre-cancerous growth on the skin caused by overexposure to UV rays.

How It Works

Before treatment, the patient may choose to have a numbing cream applied, but many deem this unnecessary. During treatment, the patient will feel some heat and tingling as the laser passes over the skin. Depending on the depth of treatment, a session may last between 6-20 minutes.

 

After treatment, the patient will experience some redness, but this should subside by the following day. Makeup may be applied as little as 24 hours after treatment. The patient will see optimal results within 2-5 days revealing smooth, bright, younger-looking skin.
