What Is Cool Touch CTEV?

The CoolTouch CTEV is a fantastic device for the treatment of varicose veins that once would have required surgery. At MDLSV, we have been performing this in-office, local anesthetic, outpatient procedure for years with excellent results. Dr. Robert Weiss helped develop this procedure as a non-surgical alternative to stripping of the saphenous vein. We have published numerous articles and lectured extensively on this great technique that is very gentle, for patients and very effective for relieving varicose veins.

How It Works

The CoolTouch CTEV works by using a specialized 1320nm endovenous laser fiber that is carefully inserted into the saphenous vein, which is often responsible for varicose veins. Once inside, the laser delivers controlled energy that heats and shrinks the vein, causing it to close off and eventually be absorbed by the body. This minimally invasive technique effectively reduces varicose veins without the need for traditional vein stripping surgery.
