Dr. Robert Weiss receives 2012 Leon Goldman Memorial Award
The Leon Goldman, M.D. Memorial Lectureship Award was established in 1998 to recognize the many contributions in the areas of clinical laser research, laser patient care and medical laser education of Leon Goldman, M.D., the “Father of Laser Medicine.” This award may be given to either ASLMS members or non-members. The award which consists of $1,000 and a plaque will be presented to the award recipient at the Annual Conference. The award recipient will be required to present a lecture during a plenary session at the conference.
The award candidate must meet the following criteria:
1) A practicing physician who has demonstrated longitudinal excellence throughout their career in performing clinical laser research, providing high quality laser services to patients or educating others in medical laser applications; and
2) Share the characteristics of honesty, high ethical standards, and a dedication to patients that were possessed by its namesake.

Dr. Robert Weiss teaches aesthetic laser medicine course at Harvard Medical School
For the 5th consecutive year, Dr. Robert Weiss served on the faculty to teach a Harvard Medical School Course at the Mass General Hospital on Laser & Aesthetic Skin Therapy. The course covers treatments for aging skin, wrinkles, leg veins, fractional resurfacing, botulinum toxins, and body contouring, to instruct dermatologists, plastic surgeons, ophthalmologists, and head and neck surgeons. Dr. Weiss's lectures include treatment for fat and cellulite using laser, cooling techniques, ultrasound, radiofrequency, and other devices. He also lead a session on leg vein treatment using sclerotherapy and endovenous laser.This is yet another an example of how Dr. Robert Weiss is a leader in the field of cosmetic dermatology.
